Rebekah Creshkoff
Location: Sullivan County, NY
A wordsmith who served time as a communicator in the corporate world, Rebekah Creshkoff is an environmentalist and wannabe naturalist. In 1997, she began checking glass-clad buildings in lower Manhattan for bird collisions. The effort was adopted by NYC Audubon and is now known as Project Safe Flight.
Rebekah has been a vegetarian for ethical reasons since age 10, but in 2019 she turned full-throated vegan to reduce her carbon footprint. Judith Enck’s Beyond Plastic Pollution class inspired her to become an anti-plastics warrior.
She resides in Sullivan County, NY, where she works at the Callicoon Farmers’ Market and performs with the Farm Arts Collective and Delaware Valley Opera. Rebekah is a longtime student and assistant teacher of tai chi. She happiest when she’s outdoors.
